Joint event with Bioenergy Farm 2 project 26/02/2015 The partners of BIOGAS3 and Bioenergy Farm 2 project developed a joint event in Torino. The morning of the 26th February was carried out a joint visit of a small-scale biogas plant (100 kWe, ). The afternoon of the 26th February, it was developed a joint meeting between partners of both projects: general presentation of both projects and Workshop. Live-Webinar on
“Sustainable small-scale biogas from agro-food waste for energy self-sufficiency” The agro-food sector is characterized by a high demand for energy and a high production of organic waste. Due to the importance of both aspects the management and efficiency of these factors becomes crucial for especially small- and medium sized companies in the food and beverage producing industries. Utilizing organic residues in biogas plants has the potential of reducing the costs and time for waste management while producing electricity and heat. This energy can furthermore cover the energy demand and costs of companies and at the same time contribute to energy self-sufficiency and independence of SME. The EU-funded project BIOGAS3 aims at promoting the sustainable production of renewable energy from biogas obtained from agro-food waste for energy self-sufficiency. Within a first round of free Live-Webinars interested participants receive an introduction about the project, its activities and offers, can learn more about biogas technology and advantages of anaerobic digestion regarding the agro-food industry. A Webinar consists of a 40 minute online presentation in national language and 20 discussion. We would like to invite stakeholders of the agro-food sector, companies of the food and beverage industry, agro-food and biogas associations, plant providers and other interested people to participate in our up-coming Live-Webinar on the 7th November 2014, at 11 a.m. in Polish language.
